College Study Tour

Every year study tours are conducted to major places in and outside the state to visit places, business firms, financialinstitutions and industries which are related to the academics of the students. During this year final year students of all batches went for a study tour to Wayanad for 3 days.



MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)

MG University has introduced a certificate course in organic farming under MOOC. Registration of students concerned is over. They are waiting for online examination. The activities are pending due to covid pandemic. 


Coordinator is Joseph A. Rahnaz K.N.& Joseph Vineesh Raphal are other members.



House Keeping and Hygiene

Coordinator is Elizabeth Ligia Fernandez and Suneetha Hamza.

The staff entrusted with house-keeping and hygiene are Treasa Williams and Tresiamma Sinex.

The goal of the team is the overall cleanliness of the entire campus.



Refreshment Committee

The committee in charge is providing refreshments to the Guests and Parents visiting the college Coordinator is Rinu Joy ,Shamnas S and Maymol Johnson.



Tutorial & Remedial Class

Remedial classes are conducted to the slow learners as and when required. It helps them for presentation of seminars and preparation of Projects. Advanced learners are motivated to improve their academic grades.

Coordinator is Joseph Vineesh. Tintu Mary, Neethu P.R., & Thazna T.A. are other members.



Department Associations

Formed for the purpose of conducting activities in the Departments. Mainly we have two departments - Commerce and Management Studies. The association intends to prepare strategic and perspective plan of the department. Associations will be inaugurated inviting eminent academicians as chief guest. Inter active sessions with students, faculty members and the Chief Guest are arranged.

 Joseph Vineesh Raphal is the coordinator of the programme. Rahnaz K.N.& Tintu Mary are the committee members.

Conducted online workshop on SAP by the department of Commerce in association with Vintage Info Solutions on 28-01- 2022.

Equipment Maintenance Committee

The Committee over sees the status & working of equipment and computer systems. The system maintenance is done both by AMC & on call basis. Plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter etc. are available on call basis.

Shamnas S., Rahnaz K.N. and Mary Soja are the supervisors for the maintenance.



Anti-drug cell

To arrange Guest talks by Resource Persons from Anti Narcotic Bureau, Drug control Board etc. The aim of the cell is to make the campus Drug free.

Mr. Joseph A is the coordinator. Other members are Shamnas S and Joseph Vineesh Raphal. Conducted an awareness class viz: -Say No to Drugs on 08-03-2022, Tuesday in the Library Seminar Hall. Dr. Rahim Fazal MD, Practicing Phycisian of MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna was the Chief Guest. The Resource Person Ms. Neslie S, Civil Excise Officer, ERO Mattancherry delivered an expert talk and inter acted with the participants. The program highlighted the messages that “Build a vibrant youth to build the Nation” and “Healthy youth, healthy family and healthy society”

IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)

 It is an important cell constituted for the purpose of monitoring the institution for quality assurance both in academic and non-academic matters. As per NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) IQAC has a significant role to play in every institution to achieve and assure quality and excellence.


Mr. Shamnas S has been elected as the Steering Committee Coordinator of IQAC. Following are the members of IQAC selected as per the NAAC guideline.

NSS (National Service Scheme)

We have been received the approval for the NSS as per the letter no. F.No.4-1/NSS/KER/SFU/2022-23 dated 07/04/2022 from the Programme Co-ordinator, National Service Scheme, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam approved by the NSS Regional Directorate. Mr Joseph Vineesh Raphal has been selected and appointed as the Programme Officer of NSS



ASAP (Additional Skill Acquisition Program)

Coordinator: Thazna T.A., other members are Tintu Mary; Rahanas K.N, Maymol Johnson and Shamnas S.


A Unit of ASAP Cell has been formulated in this College in a Webinar conducted by ASAP on 03-02-2022 at 02.30pm. Ms. Krishnendu P.S, Program Manager ASAP, delivered a talk on the details and importance of ASAP. Online and offline short term skill development courses are offered by ASAP. A WhatsApp group namely ASAP Cell – MES Mundamveli is formed for the enrolment of students and so far 183 students are already enrolled.



Student Scholarships

Scholarships are subject to the sanction of the departments concerned


  1. E-Grant - Fishermen Scholarship
  2. Post-Metric Scholarship
  3. Government of India Scholarship for SC/ST students admitted in CAP
  4. Management is providing scholarship for Economically Weaker Section



Code of Conducts of Students

Rules and regulations and code of conduct of the institution


  1. All the students should reach in time. Late comers will be marked late. Habitual late coming will be informed to the parents and actions taken.
  2. All students should uphold humility fellow feeling and at most discipline in the campus.
  3.  Loitering in the veranda and college premises during working time shall invite action against them.
  4. All the students shall behave with dignity and courtesy to principal, Teaching and Non – teaching staff etc.
  5. The entire student should honour the morning prayer by standing in silence devotion and respect.
  6. All the students are binding with the approved pattern of uniform dress and nobody will be permitted to enter the campus without wearing uniform dress.
  7. Lady students are not allowed to cover the faces while in the campus.
  8. Ragging in every form is strictly prohibited.
  9. Students shall always wear identity cards issued by the institution.
  10. No meeting or entertainment events shall be organized in the college without the permission of the principal.
  11. No students shall use, or keep in possessions of alcoholic drinks, narcotic drugs or Tobacco products.
  12. Cinematic dance, DJ etc. Shall not be allowed.
  13. The principal has the power to inflict punishment such as fine, denial of attendance, sending out from the class, suspension and dismissal etc. for unlawful behaviour.
  14.  Anti-communal, Anti-management, immoral activities invite punishments.
  15. Political activities and the functioning of the student organizations are strictly banned in the campus. Unofficial meetings, strikes, demonstrations, agitations and fund collections are strictly prohibited. Students who violate these rules are liable to be dismissed summarily from the College.
  16. Elections to the College Union, if needed, will be conducted under Parliamentary Mode, as per Lingdoh Committee Recommendations, under the verdict of the Hon. High Court of Kerala in the Writ Petition (c) No. 19411, 2012, dehors the directions issued by Mahatma Gandhi University.
  17. They should avoid leaning against the walls, Crowding and making noises and howling.
  18. Unnecessary use of mobile phone leads to capture of the phone and fine.
  19. Students who are engaged in sports and games shall not remain in the campus after 5.30 pm. All others should leave the campus as and when classes are over.
  20. Students shall not enter the class room other than their own.



Other Activities

Every year Institution celebrates all national and international festivals and organise commemorative days like Independence Day & Republic Day, Women’s Day, festivals like Onam, Christmas, Eid etc. and observe the birth & death anniversaries of eminent personalities.
